The intensity of the NBA playoffs on the way has brought out some big Poster Dunks!

With the playoffs on the way teams are starting to tighten up their game and ball hard, and when I say say ball hard I also mean dunk hard REAL HARD!! There were many poster dunks in the NBA this week and I have all the good ones to show you all. The San Antonio Spurs are in the midst of a playoff push for first in the Western Conference and yet they can rest their big 3 and continue to win ball games. How, you may ask, well they have a pretty deep bench and on that bench they have some pretty good dunkers, one of them is Kawhi Leonard. Watch as he goes baseline and dunks all over Chris Kaman from the New Orleans Hornets. LookOutBelow Mr.Kaman!!

http://youtu.be/PoKVEYQtZ-8

Now that was something special, but I just cant wait until the end of this post to show this next dunk. Mr. Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder is an animal when he attacks the rim and does NOT hesitate to put anyone on a poster. Roy Hibbert from the Indiana Pacers will never forget that. Watch as Hibbert makes his attempt to stop the KD and gets DESTROYED at the rim by Durant. LookOutBelow Roy!!

http://youtu.be/XoYdRDTFkiA

I have a feeling that was the dunk of the week. Moving on, next up we have a veteran sighting as we watch Tayshaun Prince from the Detroit Pistons throw the hammer down on Marvin Williams from the Atlanta Hawks like he was in his rookie season all over again. LookOutBelow Hawk Down!!

http://youtu.be/NA91PnvvHMQ

Next up we have the up and down Byron Mullens of the Charlotte Bobcats catching Zaza Pachulia of those Atlanta Hawks in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is our second hawk to be put on a poster this week. LookOutBelow Hawk Down!!

http://youtu.be/3dlUW9aTaGk

As the San Antonio Spurs continue to battle for playoff position the Utah Jazz are fighting just to get in. If the Jazz get in they could be matched up with the Spurs so Derrick Favors decided to let Tiago Splitter know that if they do match it it will be a physical one. Watch as he punishes Splitter at the rim, LookOutBelow BigMan!!

http://youtu.be/QghdWM3L2UU

Two other teams that are battling for chance to play in the playoffs are the Phoenix Suns and the Memphis Grizzlies. Marc Gasol is determined to match the Grizzlies success in last years playoffs and he is attacking the rim with reckless abandon. Watch as the big fella flies to the rim and almost brings the rim down with this big posterization over the rookie Markieff Morris. LookOutBelow Young Man!!

http://youtu.be/kvhjHjpnlJE

Last but not least Mr. Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers caught another victim on a poster. This week's unlucky winner is Serge Ibaka from the Oklahoma City Thunder. This poster dunk was like a clash of the titans as Ibaka and Griffin are the kings of their respective trades. Watch as this clash ends in Blake Griffin's favor, LookOutBelow Mr.Ibaka!!

http://youtu.be/RxWl6ToWkz0

That big dunk will bring us to the end of our poster dunks of the week. Feel free to comment on the dunks displayed this week and pick your favourite. Until next week, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

NCAA Madness is over, Nba provides insane poster dunks, and something special from Blake Griffin.

Let me start off by congratulating the Kentucky Wildcats on beating the Kansas Jayhawks in the finals of the NCAA March Madness Tournament and winning the national title. Sadly there were no poster dunks to report on so instead for you all I have a ridiculous set NBA poster dunks that will blow your mind. First up we all know Russell Westbrook has insane hops and crazy explosiveness so when he puts someone on a poster you just know it is going to be amazing. As the Oklahoma City Thunder put a beating on the Chicago Bulls Omer Asik was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and Russell Westbrook did not hold anything back. Watch as he totally destroys the grill of Asik with this sickkk posterization!!! LookOutBelow Omer!

http://youtu.be/t7h00yyD3AQ

Now that was a BIG mans dunk from the little guy, next up we have Brandon Bass of the Boston Celtics taking the rookie Derrick Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves to the hole, a whole new way that he didn't experience during his time in the NCAA. Watch as he jams it home all over Williams, LookOutBelow Rookie!!

http://youtu.be/bOB5prYx_as

Alright now this next dunk could potentially be dunk of the year, seriously. J.J. Hickson of the Portland Trailblazers catches the ball at the top of the arch and heads straight for the rim, unfortunately for DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers he was in the way and even with his best efforts to prevent it he got postered. Now when I say postered I mean POSTERED!!! LookOutBelow Mr. Jordan!!

http://youtu.be/cec4tWITR3E

Alright now for out feature presentation I bring you something special from Blake Griffin. Last night Blake had it out for Pau Gasol and let everybody in Los Angeles know about it. As the Lakers and Clippers continued their renewed rivalry Griffin took matters into his own hands and completely embarrassed Pau gasol underneath the rim and put him on not one but two posters and also throwing him to the ground. That is all I am going to say, Enjoy!! LookOutBelow Gasol!!!

NCAA March Madness is almost over but the best has yet to come!!

The final four is set for the 2012 March Madness NCAA tournament. Kentucky, Louisville, Kansas, and Ohio State remain after two weeks of some intense madness. As the dust settles who will be left standing? Only time can tell. In the meanwhile since the tournament games will be on the weekend this week we have an all NBA special for our top poster dunks of the week, and oh boy do we have some good ones. First up we have Demarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings showing the quick ball fake and then taking Jeremy Tyler from the Golden State Warriors to school as he throws it down!! Enjoy, LookOutBelow Mr.Tyler!!

http://youtu.be/XOjCwqVdDpk

Now that was something special from the big man. Next up we have Gerald Henderson of the Charlotte Bobcats catching the slick feed from D.J. Augustine and Jamming all over Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets. LookOutBelow Humph!!

http://youtu.be/sY2hrFk4NUA

Now that was good, but this dunk we have coming up is definitely a candidate for dunk of the month maybe even dunk of the year! Jose Calderon of the Toronto Raptors tries to redeem himself for turning the ball over and instead sets himself up for a nasty poster dunk from JaVale McGee of the Denver Nuggets. Watch as he completely jumps all over Jose and salutes the Toronto fans. LookOutBelow Calderon!!

http://youtu.be/PMbSWP9reU8

Now that was a BIG dunk, play it back just so you can try to figure out what Jose was thinking because even to this day I still ant figure it out and I have seen it over 30 times. If you have an answer feel free to share it because I really want to know. If you feel there were better dunks this week share them and we can let the people decide. Until next time, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

As the Madness intensifies the NBA players are feeding off of the energy from the NCAA tournament and throwing down!!

Another week has come and gone, and more and more posters have been created. Luckily I was watching and taking notes and I have found the best of the best from the past week. March Madness is still in progress and is still providing spectacular plays each night, but the NBA players have been sparked by the Madness and have started to dunk with more emphasis in recent weeks. Maybe its the weather, maybe its their breakfast or maybe its the March Madness getting them pumped each and every night. What ever the answer may be one thing I know is that it is working. If you do not believe me then take a look at these dunks and see for yourself.

First let me show you what these NCAA kids have been up to,the Louisville Cardinals played a hard fought game against the Michigan State Spartans and during the game Chane Behenan threw it down all over Derrick Nix from Michigan. He even finished with to hands for safety check it out! Lookoutbelow Spartan!

http://www.yougotdunkedon.com/2012/03/2012-ncaa-tournament-louisvilles-chane.html

Next up we have some good old fashioned heads up basketball. Baylor's Quincy Acy breaks free in the paint and rises to throw down the alley-opp over Xavier's Kenny Frease. This is the perfect way to execute an inbound play, check it out. Lookoutbelow Mr.Frease!

http://youtu.be/8Qe_R83sGow

Moving on to the NBA, its about time for you all to see what the NBA players have been up to this past week. First up we have Deron Williams from the New Jersey Nets doing his thing with the crossover and the big jam over the rookie Tristan Thompson from the Cleveland Cavaliers welcoming him to the NBA. Enjoy, Lookoutbelow Rookie!!

http://youtu.be/NsLaPtlaYKw

Next up we have a fast-break gone wrong by the defense. Jeff Teague from the Atlanta Hawks sprinted out on the break and took it straight to the hole. Unfortunately Ray Allen from the Boston Celtics got in the way and ended up in the emphatic poster. Take a look, Lookoutbelow Mr. 3 ball!!

http://youtu.be/4V_egWt8QlQ

Our final dunk of the week comes to us from a former March Madness star from the Florida Gators. Joakim Noah from the Chicago Bulls catches the outlet pass and goes straight to the rim with some power and throws down the two-handed hammer all over Glen Davis from the Orlando Magic and poses for the poster. Enjoy, Lookoutbelow Big Baby!

http://youtu.be/bj5vYKSb71k

Now I know you played those dunks back at least twice because they were nasty! Comment if you feel I missed a dunk that should be up there until next week, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Monday 19 March 2012

Great start to the March Madness in terms of dunks but brackets have been broken!

This year has brought us some Madness nobody saw coming, two #2 seeds were elminated within hours of each other. Before that it had 4000 days a #2 seed had lost in the 3rd round. I can imagine everyones bracket took a hit especially in those regions but nevertheless we still have poster highlights so talk about and show so lets get started. First we shall cover the NBA poster dunks and finish it off with some good old fashioned NCAA March Madness. First poster to be put on display comes to us from Phoenix but not by the Suns. Jason Maxiell from the Detroit Pistons receives the entry pass and goes straight to the rack as he hammers the ball through the rim all over the polish hammer Marcin Gortat. LookOutBelow Good Sir!

http://youtu.be/-bZ1KPxiHDg
Next up our good old friend Serge Ibaka has made his way back on yet another poster while trying to get the big block, instead ends up posing for the camera. Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs shows the block machine that rookies have some serious bounce as he drives baseline and soars to the basket not stopping for anything in his way. LookOutBelow Mr.Ibaka!

http://youtu.be/xlQAiAtxaLA

Our final NBA poster can be described as the two for one special as two Toronto Raptors Amir Johnson and Ed Davis get in the way as D.J. White from the Charlotte Bobcats makes his move and finishes strong. LookOutBelow Dinos!

http://youtu.be/7eZdPs6ZEI8

Moving to our feature this week I have 3 NCAA poster dunks that I felt were the best of the best of week 1 in the March Madness tournament. First up we have Washington's Martin Breunig taking off with his team on the fast break and being rewarded for filling the lane. Watch as he takes of and dunks all over NorthWestern's Reggie Hearn with this epic dunk. LookOutBelow Young Man!

http://youtu.be/S3vYh_jgsg4

Next up we have an insane big man dunk as Creighton's Gregory Echenique backs down North Carolina's John Henson and throws it down all over him with the emphatic jam.
LookOutBelow Young Sir!
http://vimeo.com/38749273

Last but not least we have who I have crowned the dunk king of week one. Michigan State's Adreian Payne was dunking all over people this week left right and centre. I had to choose one so I picked his one handed massacre of Saint Louis' Dwayne Evans, Enjoy. LookOutBelow Mr.Evans!
http://vimeo.com/38742929

That is all for this week, until next week Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 15 March 2012

The NCAA Madness has begun just a little early and no one is safe when your in the paint even if your in the NBA.

Hello everyone and welcome to week 9. March madness is upon us but before the madness officially begins we had a few crazy kids show just how mad this month will be. The NCAA had their preliminary rounds for the tournament this week and I have to say there were a few standout performances that I just had to share with you all. This brings us to our first poster dunk, involving Casey Prather representing the Florida Gators and Kyle Wiltjer from those infamous Kentucky Wildcats. Let me set the stage for you, Florida and Kentucky are battling in a hard fought SEC semi-finals game and there was an explosion as Prather dunks all over Wiltjer in this first poster dunk. LookOutBelow Underclassman!!!!

http://youtu.be/zlfIvh97n0k

Now that was a big mans dunk by the college kid, moving on we have another poster involving Serge Ibaka from the NBA. Chandler Parsons joins that short list of individuals who have stepped up to Ibaka and wasn't sent back by the leagues best shot blocker. The one disadvantage of being a shot blocker is the fact that you just can't block everything that comes your way. So without further delay I bring you Parsons over Ibaka. LookOutBelow Serge!!!

http://youtu.be/zggDyCohEtM

Okokok lets head back to the NCAA because like I said the madness is brewing and I have another scene of madness to display. Minnesota and La Salle were involved in a heated qualifier match and sparks were flying. First off Ramone Galloway from La Salle tried to spark his team by throwing down a ridiculous two handed reverse dunk on a breakway. He only sparked Minnesota's Rodney Williams as he decided to take flight in the middle of the lane and dunk all over Earl Pettis who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. LookOutBelow young man!!

http://youtu.be/2W4kt6Yt0fw

Alright I hope I am not getting you all sick with this madness and jumping back and forth but we are on the move again. Joakim Noah is the definition of a hustle player in the NBA today and he shows why as he blocks Wade on the lay-up attempt then runs the floor to throw the hammer down on Joel Anthony. All I can say is LookOutBelow he comes the bull!!

http://youtu.be/jvtLBP6eaYE

Clear the runway! Ok so that is all for this week don't hesitate to comment if you feel there was a dunk I missed. Like I said earlier the NCAA Madness has begun just a little early and no one is safe when your in the paint even if your in the NBA. Until next time, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 8 March 2012

Take a look at this!

This week has brought us one big poster dunk after another, and I made sure to capture the BIG ones on this weeks post. It seems to me that the All Star break has helped the NBA players get their bounce back and they are just jumping out of the gym now a days. Let's not waste any time and get right into it, first up we have Josh Smith starting the play off with a horrible air ball but then instantly redeeming himself by flying down the middle of the lane and landing all over Serge Ibaka with a vicious one handed jam. Even though he is an excellent shot blocker Ibaka had no chance once Smith Took off. LookOutBelow good sir!

http://youtu.be/EmSVT3OcLOc

Whooaah, now that is what I call a poster! Next up we have Tim Duncan aka timmy D going real old school and street ball all over Chris Anderson aka Birdman. First Duncan makes the Birdman eat some ball then throws it down all over him so hard they both hit the ground. Now this is a real athletic move for the veteran timmy D showing he's still got the moves and the agility in those old legs. Let's take a look shall we, LookOutBelow Birdman!

http://youtu.be/RpiP82l2gbU

I never knew he had it in him still, that was pretty good. Moving on we are headed down to the NCAA to watch Arkansas Brandon Mitchell make his bid for top dunk of the week by rising above Mississippi's Terrance Henry and giving him the body to body poster letting him know you cant take a charge because he gonna jump right over you. Take a look for yourself, LookOutBelow Mr.Henry!

http://youtu.be/r5M2vZns5c4

All I can say is ouch! Well now we have come to our final dunk of the week and what a goodie I have for you. Alonzo Gee has been flying around the rim all season but no one got in the way until Chris Anderson and Kenneth Faried tried play interference and ended up on a poster. To add insult to injury Anderson found himself on the ground again for this big dunk from Gee, LookOutBelow Nuggets!

http://youtu.be/lB9DlMuUSNs

O man now can he fly or can he fly, I think he can fly. All of the dunks this week were amazing but which one do you think was the best, comment and make your vote. Until next week Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 1 March 2012

And it continues!!

Ok, so there were two poster dunks that took place this week that I just had to show you all. First up from the NCAA we have Brian Williams out of Oklahoma State showing heart till the end. Even though Kansas State was blowing them out and it was the 4th quarter Thomas Robinson still managed to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. LookOutBelow Mr.Robinson!

Now that's what you call playing to the end. Next up from the NBA we have Carlos Boozer accepting the smooth feed from Derrick Rose and throwing it down with authority all over Chris Kaman. LookOutBelow Big Man!

To make it worse he stared him down as to say, did you seriously think you were gonna block that dunk dude. Well it seems that the only way to get a spectacular block for some people is to first be put on a couple spectacular posters, congratulations Mr.Kaman you are well on your way. I saw a few other dunks this week but didnt deem them worthy of recognition, if you feel I am wrong feel free to comment and we'll see what your dunk has to say for itself. Until next time Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Sunday 26 February 2012

Week 6

Welcome ladies and gentleman to week 6, where the unexpected happens. This weeks contenders for top poster dunks are shockingly amazing. Most of these plays you didn't see coming, especially if you blinked. First up we have an NBA poster from my man Landry Fields from the New York Knicks taking it hard to the hole against Kris (Kardashian)Humphries. Humphries really thought he had a chance to pin this dunk but Mr.Fields had other plans in mind. LookOutBelow Mr.Kardashian!

Next up from the same game Amare Stoudemire reassures everyone including Shelden Williams from those New Jersey Nets that he's still got the bounce. Watch as he goes chest to chest and gives us some good old fashioned vintage Stoudemire nastiness, and may I add he got the and 1, count it. LookOutBelow good sir!

Jumping out of the NBA gym we take a journey to Kentucky where the Wildcats played host to Ole Mississippi. During this game Darius Miller decided to give us his own Stoudemire impression to ignite the fire inside that gym. Reginald Buckner from Ole Miss was definetly in the wrong place at the wrong time and did not take my advice.
LookOutBelow young man!

Now this dunk that I have coming up last really had me surprised. Samuel Dalembert on the Houston Rockets is a 10yr veteran who apparently still has the moves of a 2nd or 3rd year star. Watch as he uses the pump fake to free himself up for the big poster all over Paul Milsap from the Utah Jazz. LookOutBelow paper boy!

Now who said big men can't handle the rock! That was pretty impressive if you ask me, but so were the other dunks that were portrayed this week. If you feel I missed a dunk feel free to comment and let the people decide. Until next time, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 16 February 2012

Week 5

My my my this week has brought us some dunks that we just have to watch over and over again. I did the research and found the best of the bunch, two from the NBA and one from the NCAA. First up we have Nick Faust from Maryland jumping out the gym and dunking all over K.J. McDaniels from Clemson. LookOutBelow good sir!

Ok Ok that was pretty good from our NBA hopeful from the NCAA, but now we move onto the former NBA hopeful turned NBA dunk maestro from Arizona State Derrick Williams from the Timberwolves as he posterizes D.J. White from the Bobcats. LookOutBelow young man!

Oh man that dunk was so nasty he almost gave the man a concussion with that hammer. Moving on to our final dunk of the week, if you were watching that Blazers/Wizards game this week(Im not sure why?!? lol) then you already know what your about to see. For those who were watching the better games going on that night you kinda missed a flying frenchman. Nicolas Batum took flight last night and completely dented the grills of Trevor Booker and JaVale McGee simultaneously. You will definetly be seeing this dunk frequently in the weeks to come on sports channels everywhere. LookOutBelow...Both of you!!

Now tell me that wasn't something that had you speaking another language? French maybe? Well that's all for this week, shout outs to Faust, Williams and Batum for providing us with the best posters of the week. If you feel that another dunk should be up here, leave a comment and prove your case. Till next time, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 9 February 2012

Week 4

Hello everyone, welcome to week 4. The NBA has been riddled with injuries but still there have been many posters for us to enjoy, there was even 1 in the NCAA that you just had to see if you missed it but we will get to that later. Here are some posters by some newcomers this past week. First up we have a first timer on the poster reel Ivan Johnson getting up there to throw it down almost body to body on Channing Frye. LookOutBelow young man!

O man now that was nasty..what was Channing Frye thinking. Moving on, next up we have another first timer on the poster reel. Taj Gibson is known in the league to throw it down hard, but Jon Leuer didn't seem to get the memo as he tried his hand at getting the big block and instead received a face full of jersey as Taj threw it down. LookOutBelow good sir!

I don't know about you guys but those were some pretty nasty dunks. Ivan and Taj might have to share the crown this week unless there is 1 more dunk that can top them. I did say I have an NCAA dunk to show you all. I know by now you all should know about Jared Sullinger, if you watch any form of college ball. Well this week the Ohio state star got stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time and Kelsey Barlow took advantage of his moment and didn't disappoint at all. Watch as he skies over the big center for the emphatic dunk. LookOutBelow big man!

Well well well, 3 big dunks but which one deserves the crown this week? Leave a comment to place your vote and we will get to the bottom of this discussion. Until next week my friends, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Thursday 2 February 2012

Week 3

This week was a special week in the NBA. Kendrick Perkins has been added yet again to another poster before the end of his glamorous career. The paparazzi have had a blast throughout the years photographing Mr.Perkins in the wrong place at the wrong time numerous times. For those of you who haven't seen what I am talking about heres a few videos for you. Enjoy!

Now tell he doesn't like getting dunked on lol. If you have any other Perkins posters that I have missed feel free to comment and I'll make sure I get it up there. Until next time, Keep ya head up in da paint!!

Tuesday 31 January 2012

OMG!!! that is all I can say.

All I have to say about these two dunks from the NBA is LookOutBelow. I dont know if you were watching that Clippers/Thunder game but the dunk of the year took place last night. I mean this dunk was so nasty I had to wake up early before class in order to post before I go to class to write this test. But enough about me, before I get into that dunk I have to show you all what Nene Hilario did to Salomon Jones because it was just as nasty as the next dunk and it also took place first lol. Enjoy!

Well now its the moment you all have been waiting for, Blake Griffin dismantles the grill of Kendrick Perkins. Perkins you might remember earned himself a spot on the poster patrol last season when Wade placed him there. If you didn't see it check it out on my past dunks page. Without further delay, enjoy!

Now I know you may not believe what you just saw but yes he just did that. He recreated that Mozgoz dunk and perfected and Perkins was the test subject. Till next time, Keep ya head up in da Paint!!

Monday 30 January 2012

Week Two

Okok folks first up this week I got some special dunks for you from the NBA to enjoy. There were a few dunks that were up there, but these few stuck out just stuck that much more.

First up we got Hakim Warrick getting real personal with this dunk over Chris Johnson.

Ok now tell me that wasn't rude, Chris Johnson didn't even see that coming and next thing he knew, he was the newest poster victim. Moving right along next up is one of my favourite players Tyreke Evans throwing down on a long distant family member in Earl Watson, enjoy!

Keeping up with the theme of getting air watch as Lebron James completely jumps over John Lucas to complete the alley-oop and throw down the major dunk.

Ok Last but definitely not least we have JaVale McGee Dunking on both Tyrus Thomas and Desagana Diop, enjoy!

Now you have seen the top poster dunks of the week, but which dunk is worthy of the title top dunk. Was it raw power of Hakim Warrick or JaVale McGee? Maybe it was the new heights reached by Tyreke Evans and Lebron James. Help me decide, post your comments and cast your votes. Until my next post, Keep ya Head up in da Paint!

Opening Week

Hello and welcome to my blog entitled Look Out Below. My name is Jamie Watson and this is my first blog so I wanted to blog about something that is very near and dear to me...BASKETBALL. Not only basketball though, but the dunks that take place during the course of a basketball game. But to even get more detailed I'm specifically talking about those nasty dunks that get the people talking. Those once in a while dunks that you had to see because you will never see anybody do that again. Yes folks this blog will have them all, I will make sure to watch every minute of basketball film I possibly can to ensure I don't miss a single big dunk.

This blog will be dedicated to the most vicious and disgusting poster dunks the basketball world has to offer to its loyal fans. This week is the first of many weeks to come that will be action packed and exciting in the world of basketball. The NBA is in full swing and March Madness is coming up, I cant wait. But before we get ahead of ourselves lets start this week off with a comparison of two of the greatest poster dunks that have happened is the past from the NBA.

First up we have Dwayne Wade completely destroying the grill of Anderson Varejao.

Next we have Blake Griffin rising to new heights as he skies over Timofey Mozgov.

Now I know these dunks are hard to compare but I have made my decision which one I like better but I want to hear what the people think. Feel free to comment.
